Direction gives purpose, focus and motivation. You cannot hit a target that you cannot see! During coaching, we identify your priorities in different parts of your life – based on what is most important to you right now. We distil these into positive and specific goals, ensuring that your goals are congruent, manageable and challenging enough to empower you into action. You gain a very clear understanding of your desired outcomes – so that the steps you take are always in the right direction.

How are you getting in your way?
What could you achieve if you knew that you could not fail?

No matter how talented, knowledgeable or motivated you are – you will struggle to achieve your goal unless you genuinely believe that you can achieve it. During coaching, we explore what is stopping you believing and deal with the issue at source. I challenge your negative self-beliefs that are no longer useful to you and support you to create new positive self-beliefs, helping you to achieve your goals.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
What will happen if you do nothing?

Motivation is what is important to you, what drives you day to day. It can make the dreariest task thrilling, and the most exciting task dull. In coaching, we use motivation as a litmus test for your commitment to your goal. Lack of motivation can indicate unresolved underlying obstacles or incongruences.

My job is to help you identify what exactly is holding you back, support you to overcome your obstacles and enable you to maintain motivation until you achieve your desired result.

How do you relate with yourself?

Relationships matter. A lot of my clients prioritise relationships with others. Yet most forget their relationship with themselves. How easy is it to relate well with others if you do not relate well (or at all) with yourself? So we start with “self” before moving onto relating with others. We look at what and who brings out your best and worst. How you can nurture and manage your relationships better – and ensure that they are authentic. Your attitude towards yourself determines the attitude of others towards you.

Assertiveness, rapport and confidence are keystones of every relationship – so this is a major theme of the ARC Programme.

What obstacles are you facing?
How did you overcome similar challenges in the past?
How do you cope with change?

Challenges are inevitable. What is important is how you approach them and what you learn from them. During coaching, I will empower you to deal with obstacles from a position of strength – pulling together all your skills, resources and past experience. We will identify latent opportunities in every challenge and turn them to your advantage.

In my experience, clients find that positively dealing with challenges and change is more empowering and confidence boosting than celebrating successes.

What conflicts do you have within yourself?

Conflict is not always external. Contradictory values, needs and desires within ourselves can cause the greatest turmoil. Ever wanted to start a business, but was too scared of failing? During coaching, we establish the causes and the impact of conflict, and develop an effective strategy for moving forward. In the words of Nelson Mandela: “Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies".

If challenges from your past are hindering your progress, we will use powerful NLP techniques to enable you to move forward and achieve your current goals.
